Bulletin Board: Senior All-Star Hoop Friday

The officials of IAABO Board 28 will hold its 17th annual Senior All-Star basketball games on Friday at Easthampton High School.

Players are from all Hampshire and Franklin county area schools. The girls’ game starts at 6 and the boys’ game will follow.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. All proceeds benefit the William F. Casey Scholarships, which are awarded to area seniors and have provided over $73,000 to area seniors since 1982.

Here’s a list of the area seniors playing in the games:

Athol — Boys: Andrew Poor.

Franklin Tech — Girls: Brooke Meuse. Boys: Thomas Duffy.

Frontier — Girls: Amanda Calvo, Olivia Riordan. Boys: Ben Ruddock.

Greenfield — Girls: Erika Glabach. Boys: Garrett Hudson, Robin Marchese.

Mahar — Girls: Caitriona Cronin, Natashia Patria. Boys: Brendin Woodard, Troix Adams.

Mohawk — Boys: Mark Buck.

Pioneer — Girls: Jocelyn Peters. Boys: Lee Doiron, Lennon Robichaud.

Turners Falls — Boys: Melvin Moreno, Malcolm Smith.

Monkeys crush Sharks

Rohan Edwards scored seven times on Wednesday as the Frontier Evil Monkeys crushed the Sharks, 18-3, in an Under-11 boys’ indoor soccer game at Allsport in Northampton.

Payton Sladeski scored three times in the win. Colin Byrnes and Cameron Wrisley each had two goals, Brady Burch added a goal and an assist, Luke Hrinda, Dylan Robinson and Dylan Martin each scored once, and Jake Hanieski chipped in two helpers.

Martin, Sladeski and Hrinda played well in goal.
