Letter: East to Orange

In Richie Davis’ feature story, “End of a Sweet Run,” in the Feb. 26 issue, he states that with the closing of South Face Farm’s restaurant there will be only three operating sugarhouse restaurants in Franklin County. Johnson’s Farm Restaurant and Sugarhouse on Wheeler Avenue in Orange are still in full operation, as set forth in the paid ad they placed in the Feb. 20 issue of The Recorder. Please look east beyond Greenfield when you speak of “the only” anything in Franklin County.

Johnson’s serves your choice of breakfast fare, including delicious pancakes and waffles with “real” maple syrup, as well as much, much more for lunch and dinner as they have a full menu to choose from. They also have the best homemade doughnuts in Franklin County, east or west. The sugarhouse is directly across the street from the restaurant.

Just for the record, I am not related to DeeDee and Steve Johnson, who own and operate the restaurant and sugarhouse. I am just a happy patron.

KAY F. JOHNSON
