South Deerfield Family Practice offices to relocate
SOUTH DEERFIELD — The South Deerfield Family Practice, managed by Cooley Dickinson Hospital, is moving a few doors down.
The Zoning Board issued building owner Peter May of South Deerfield a special permit on Thursday to change the use of the property to a medical office with exam rooms. The only condition would be for May to consult the town Highway Department on how to improve access from Elm Street because the building’s parking lot leads straight out to where vehicles coming from the People’s United Bank exit.
The decision allows the Northampton-based hospital to move its primary care medical offices from 21 B Elm St. to 29 Elm St. The move is intended to create more space for patients and families. The new space is within a 5,000-square-foot building.
It would replace All One Massage, which rented the space until it recently moved out.
