Video game players invited to Tech Saturday

TURNERS FALLS — Franklin County Technical School hosts a video-gaming event Saturday.

“Tech Nation Domination” will allow existing players of the online multi-player games League of Legends and Minecraft to play in the school.

The event is a first for the school, according to programming and Web instructor Marcus McLaurin, who hopes to organize further such events if the trial is successful.

Participation is limited to the first 24 players who sign up and is open to the public. Call 413-657-8904 in advance to reserve a spot. Players must have their own Minecraft or League of Legends accounts and there is a suggested donation of $5 an hour or $10 for the full day.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the school at 82 Industrial Boulevard, Turners Falls.
