Douglas E. Wight, 74, of Conway Street, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for intimidating a witness, juror, police, or court official. Placed on probation until 5/2/18 and must have no contact with a specified person. Must pay $1,575 restitution to the victim, and must provide a DNA database sample to state police. Admitted to sufficient facts for violation of harassment prevention order. Placed on probation until 5/2/17. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Greenfield May 5, Judge Maureen Walsh

Steven R. Keyes, 36, of State Road, Whately. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, to be dismissed on payment of $100 court costs, pay today.

Armando C. Leone, 34, of Riverside Drive, Greenfield. Pleaded innocent to possessing a Class B drug, to wit, crack cocaine, subsequent offense, number plate violation, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, released on personal recognizance, continued to 6/8/17 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Elsa Beardsley, 47, of L Street, Turners Falls. Charges of assault and battery on family/household member, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a baseball bat, were not prosecuted, as, according to a statement made by a counsel from the district attorney’s office, based on new information provided by the alleged victim, and a witness, the Commonwealth cannot prosecute this case. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Orange, May 5, Judge David S. Ross

Scott D. Marz, 40, of Cloukey Avenue, Orange. Pleaded guilty to assault and battery on a police officer. Sentenced to one year in the house of correction, suspended until 5/4/18, with victim-witness assessment of $50, plus $80 restitution, and must have no alcohol and subject to screens and testing. Pleaded guilty to resisting arrest, sentenced to six months in the house of correction, suspended, placed on probation for one year, with same conditions in the first count. Pleaded guilty to threatening to commit a crime, to wit, murder, sentenced to three months in the house of correction, suspended, placed on probation for one-year, with same conditions as in count one. Pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, filed with defendant’s consent, for one day. Charge of disorderly conduct, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay counsel fee of $150, or perform 16 hours of community service. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month, or perform eight hours a month to community service.

John E. Sullivan, 18, of Bondsville. Pleaded innocent to assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, no inspection sticker, operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, and second charge of assault and battery on a police officer in New Salem. Bail set at $1,500 cash by agreement, continued to 6/12/17 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Elan B. Gregory, 33, of East Hawley Road, Hawley. Must take the 14-day inpatient program, and take any after-care recommended. Must have no driving until the Registry of Motor Vehicles reinstates the license. Sentenced to 2½ years, in the house of correction, nine months direct, balance suspended, placed on probation until 511/20. Must take and complete the certified batterer’s intervention program. Must stay away from and have no contact with the victim. Recommended that the house of correction time be served at the Howard Street facility in Springfield, and credit for time served. Charges of assault and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a night stand, were both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month.
