Dawn A. Gillette, 40, of Springfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing a Class B drug, to wit, cocaine, with intent to distribute in Deerfield by state police, amended down from trafficking in .36 grams or more, or less than 100 grams of heroin. Sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until 6/26/19 with victim-witness assessment of $90, and must not commit new crimes. Charge of possessing a Class E drug, to wit, oxycodone, to be dismissed on payment of $500 court costs. Admitted to sufficient facts for speeding. Found responsible. Fined $180. Second charge of possessing a Class E drug, to wit, lorazepam, and conspiracy to violate drug laws were both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Toren R. Boyd, 36, of Springfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing a Class B drug, to wit, cocaine, with intent to distribute in Deerfield by state police, amended down from trafficking in .36 grams or more, or less than 100 grams of heroin, but continued without a finding until 6/26/19, with victim-witness assessment of $90, and must commit no new crimes. Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing a Class B drug, to wit, crack cocaine. Fined $400, plus $100 surfine. Charge of conspiracy to violate drug laws dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Found not responsible for failure to wear a seat belt. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Gamaliel Tomas, 29, of Griswold Road, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for rate of speeding exceeding the posted limit in Whately by state police. Fined $160, plus $50 surfine. Charge of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended. Fined $50, to be paid this day.

Stephen P. Zank, 47, of Fourth Street, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for charge of assault and battery on family/household member. Sufficient facts found, but continued without a finding until 6/27/19, with victim-witness assessment of $50, must attend and complete the certified batterer’s intervention program. Must be free of alcohol and have a Scram unit applied, but must report daily to probation until the Scram unit can be available. Must take and complete a substance abuse evaluation, and take any after-care treatment recommended, and must have no abuse of the victim. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month, or perform eight hours a month to community service.

Jason Shea, 33, of South Silver Lane, Sunderland. Admitted to sufficient facts for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, sufficient facts found, fined $400, plus $100 surfine.

Jason Shea, 33, of South Silver Lane, Sunderland. Admitted to sufficient facts for negligent operation of a motor vehicle in Whately, different date from previous case. Placed on probation until 12/27/19, with head-injury assessment of $250, and victim-witness assessment of $50. Must take and complete the safe driver education program. Must have no alcohol and subject to screens. Must have a Scram unit applied, but may be reviewed after one year. Must take and complete a substance abuse evaluation and take any after-care treatment recommended. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation. Charge of operating under the influence of liquor or 0.08 percent, was not prosecuted, as, according to a statement made by a counsel from the district attorney’s office, the defendant is pleading to negligent operation of a motor vehicle, as result of this incident; given the circumstances of this case that is an appropriate resolution to this case, and this is in best interests of justice. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month.
