SMITH COLLEGE MUSEUM OF ART, 20 Elm St., Northampton. 585-2760, www.smith.edu/artmuseum. “Summer of Love: Psychedelic Posters from SCMA”. 70+ original posters from California poster artists of the 1960s. Exploring the use of posters as both an advertising agent and art form. Classic rock music recordings simultaneously played in the gallery. Through Sept. 15. ■“Eye on the Street: Trends in the 1960s and ’70s Photography.” Gary Winogrand, Joel Meyerowitz and Danny Lyon capture the turbulent culture of New York City’s provocative street life. The artists focus on women, light and architecture. Through Oct. 6. ■“Framework IX: Restoring the Boundaries.” Features frames from Childe Hassam’s “Headlands at Appledore,” Robert Smirke’s scene from Cibber’s “The Provoked Husband” and Bierdstadt’s “Echo Lake,” “Franconia Mountains” and “New Hampshire.” Through Nov. 3. ■Museum hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. Second Fridays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
