Old-fashioned holiday charm draws shoppers to Northfield

NORTHFIELD — The North Pole came to Northfield Saturday, as small hands busily crafted Christmas gifts and decorations all over town.
They weren’t Santa’s elves (though they were just about the right size), but the children of Northfield and surrounding towns were full of holiday cheer as they worked away. They brought their parents out for “A Special Day in Northfield,” an annual day of holiday shopping and celebration.
