GREENFIELD β With the core complete and the building renovated, Greenfield Community College has turned its eye toward the continued improvement of its classrooms, and the business community has stepped up to help.
With Greenfield Savings Bank donating $75,000, A.R. Sandri donating $70,000 and Greenfield Cooperative Bank donating $25,000, the business community has contributed to a $450,000 project to renovate classroom space at GCC, which opened its main campus in 1974.
GCC plays home to about 2,511 credit-earning students and nearly 3,000 students who are taking noncredit courses. About 400 will graduate from GCC this year.
The renovations will make a classroom more accessible to students with physical disabilities and create studios for math, science, humanities and social science.
βItβs a constant and ongoing project to continue to improve what we do, how we do it and the place we do it in,β GCC President Bob Pura said.
