ASHFIELD — Mixed-media artist Robert Markey of Ashfield has long used his work as a way to speak out against domestic abuse.
But after working with some of the poorest children in Cambodia and Brazil, Markey has turned his attention to the plight of children throughout the world who are the victims of human trafficking.
On Jan. 28, Shelburne Falls Yoga will host a special yoga class and art event: “The Yoga Freedom Project to Help End Human Trafficking.”
The event will feature some of the portraits of the Brazilian and Cambodian children that Markey worked with over the past two years. Also, Markey will play sitar during the program.
