Gilbert, son of Jay and Debra Gilbert of Bernardston graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a bachelor of science degree in Wildlife, Fisheries and Conservation Biology from The University of Maine, Orono May 12. Gilbert also received the 2018 Service Award from the Honors College, he is a member of the Greek Fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, was a participant of the Student Advisory Board for the Honors College and is currently working a summer internship as a wildlife researcher on seabirds on Petit Manan, a Maine Coastal Island National Wildlife Refuge.

Sons & Daughters of Hawley summer tour will take place Saturday โ all over Hawley. The self-guided tour will begin at 10 a.m in West Hawley. West Hawley sites will be open until noon. Moving with Parkinsonโs class takes place on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, at the Southwestern Community Services Conference Room at 63 Community Way in Keene, from 10:30 to 11:4 a.m. Moving with Parkinsonโs is a class that helps to increase coordination, flexibility, and balance, but most of all itโs fun. Participants can take the class sitting or standing and will feel supported in a safe and comfortable environment. It is open to anyone with a movement disorder and their caregiver, partner, or friend.
