Crush your RESOLUTIONS with Self-Hypnosis: Whether it’s losing weight, following your fitness program, improving sleep or quitting a bad habit, holiday stress always seems to threaten to pull you off that path to a better you, doesn’t it? Join Certified Hypnosis Instructor, Deborah Yaffee, and learn to be your own hypnotist so that you can program yourself to stick to your plans and reach your goals. Y Full-day Preschool Openings: The Y has a few mid-year openings for its full-day preschool. There are two classrooms; one for 2.9 to 4 year olds and another for 4 to 5 year olds. There are two, three and five day options available. The students get to use the gym, pool and gymnastics center for weekly P.E. options. Call Lisa at 773-3646 ext. 431 to schedule a tour.

American Red Cross Blood Drive at the Y: Life’s a gift. Give more of it. Donate blood. On Thursday, January 4, 2018 the YMCA will be hosting a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 1-800-733-2767 or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins welcome but appointments are recommended.

Saturday Family Fun Nights: Every Saturday night from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m. the YMCA has a Family Fun Night for parents and children ages 1 to 12. There is a family swim from 6:15 to 8 p.m., the gymnastics center is open from 6:30to 8:15 for parents/children ages 1-8 and the new Ninja Challenge Course for 8-12 year olds from 6:30 to 8:10 p.m. These nights are available for all families. Parents are required to play with their children and no cell phones allowed. Free for those with Y family memberships and an $18 day pass for non-member families. Call 773-3646 ext. 0 for details.

January/February Classes: Registration for all January/February is now in progress for adults and children. Youth classes include swimming and gymnastics lessons, basketball skills, kids self-defense, healthy kids class, active games, Ninja challenge, full day preschool and more. Adults can choose from water therapy/fitness classes, volleyball, dancing, Diabetes Care Program and more. See “Brochure” at ymcaingreenfield.org for all details. All classes begin Jan. 2 to 8.

Youth Swim Lessons: The next session of swimming lessons start January 2 to 9 for children ages 1 to 12. Swimming is a skill that every child should have for a lifetime of fun and safety but it takes time. Good youth swimmers can swim several lengths of the pool with rotary breathing and a strong backstroke. There are three 8-week sessions of swim lessons before summer.
