Parent/Child Classes: The Y offers both gym and water parent/child classes for children 3-years-old and younger. The water classes help children adjust to the pool/water environment so they can learn to swim. The gym classes develop gross motor skills, strength and balance. Both classes help with social skills and provide an opportunity for parents to meet other parents. There are four parent/child gym classes: Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. Parent/child water classes are Tuesdays at 4:45 p.m., Thursdays at 11 a.m., Fridays at 5:45 p.m., and Saturdays at noon. Gym classes are free for gold family members, $44 for silver family members and $53 for program associates. Water classes are $29 for gold family members, $43 for silver family members and $59 for program associates. Visit: ymcaingreenfield.org for more information.

Adult Sports: The Y’s basketball court is used for four adult sports, including basketball, Pickleball, badminton and volleyball. All of these sports are free for Y members and a $10 per day for all others. Volleyball is played on Wednesday nights, from 7 to 9:15 p.m. There are two courts so all levels of play are welcome. See full schedules at: ymcaingreenfield.org.

Healthy Kids Class: Children need up to 60 minutes of active play five to seven days per week. The Healthy Kids Class, for boys and girls ages 6 to 12, meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Each class consists of 25 minutes of active gym games followed by a 30-minute workout in the Y’s Kid Fit Center. The Kid Fit Center has youth size strength machines and cardio equipment. The eight-week session fees are $50 for Y members and $60 for program associates.

Saturday Family Fun Nights: Every Saturday night, from 6:15 to 8:15 p.m., the YMCA has a Family Fun Night for parents and children, ages 1 to 12.
