Night Skate: Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Unity Skatepark; 56 First St. (Unity Park). The final Night Skate of the season. Hot dogs and other refreshments available while supplies last. Thank you to Let It Ride Skateshop and Hubie’s Tavern for co-sponsoring these events and the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office for providing the lighting that helps illuminate the park.

Scarecrow Stuffing Party: Saturday, Sept. 30, noon to 2 p.m. at Unity Park. Create the best scarecrow in your neighborhood and join us for a scarecrow stuffing party. Fees: scarecrows, $5 per scarecrow; if you bring your own clothes, $3. Donations of used long sleeved shirts and pants welcome. Drop them off at our office. Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 1.
