1st Franklin ‘Meet and Greet’ today changes location

SUNDERLAND — There’s been a location change for today’s Sunderland Democratic Town Committee “Meet and Greet” to accommodate a potentially larger turnout than expected.

Instead, the event will be at the Sunderland Congregational Church, at the corner of routes 116 and 47. It will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 13.  

The event will feature all eight candidates for the 1st Franklin District seat being vacated by Steve Kulik. Residents have an opportunity to meet their next possible state representative.

All eight candidates have confirmed they will attend: Christine Doktor of Cummington, Natalie Blais of Sunderland, Casey Pease of Worthington, Kate Albright-Hanna of Huntington, Francia Wisnewski of Montague, Jonathan Edwards of Whately, Nathaniel Waring of Sunderland and Andrew Baker of Shelburne.

Each will have an opportunity to speak briefly to the audience. A question-and-answer period will follow.

Democrats and interested independent voters of the District can attended the event. 

The 1st Franklin District includes Ashfield, Buckland, Conway, Deerfield, Leverett, Montague, Shelburne, Shutesbury, Sunderland and Whately.
