Greenfield, July 21

11:16 a.m. — An accident without injuries occurred at the Cheapside Street railroad underpass between a gray 2001 Nissan Maxima and a blue 2012 Ford Focus.

2:04 p.m. — Jillian R. Williams, 35, of 48 Aster Court in Greenfield, was issued a summons for shoplifting after she was observed allegedly placing a T-shirt into her purse at Dollar Generalon Federal Street.

Greenfield, July 22

1:48 a.m. – A caller at McDonald’s, located on the Mohawk Trail, reported she went into the restaurant for five to 10 minutes and found the rear windshield smashed out on her green 2011 Ford Fiesta when she returned. Police checked the area and were unable to locate anyone, and the woman was unsure who may have smashed the window.

2:46 a.m. — A pharmacist at CVS on Federal Street reported finding a cell phone, a cell phone charger and what appeared to be a bag of marijuana in the men’s bathroom. Police destroyed the marjiuana and entered the phone into property, being unable to determine the owner.

2:59 a.m. — A traffic stop near Dunkin Donuts on Federal Street involving a black 2016 Toyota Tacoma resulted in the arrest of Nathan Cheney, 24, of Hillcrest Drive in Bernardston for driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation. The vehicle was towed.

2:13 p.m. — An accident without injuries occurred near Wendy’s on Federal Street, between a silver 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and a U-Haul.

Greenfield, July 23

5:46 p.m. — A report of about 40 people above the dam at the Eunice Williams Bridge. People were also reported to be walking in and out of the street without regard for traffic. 

Greenfield, July 24

12:10 a.m. — Police arrested Jessica L. Secore, 29, of Devens Street in Greenfield, on charges of possession of Class A and B drugs.

Greenfield, July 25

11:56 p.m. — Police arrested Julia W. Paulin, 20, of Montague Street in Turners Falls on charges of operating under the influence of liquor with a BAC 0.08 or greater, speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Paulin was stopped on Main Street near Dillon Chevrolet after speeding down the street and reportedly nearly striking an officer in the crosswalk.
