SOUTH DEERFIELD — The New England Natural Bakers are still coming to town, but there’s no exact timeline for the move just yet.

The Deerfield Selectboard requested company representatives appear Wednesday night to find out what’s going on with their plans for land on what was the old Oxford pickle plant.

The goal is to consolidate the business into one location from its operations in Greenfield and Turners Falls, but CFO Didi Foley and CEO Pam Clark couldn’t provide any details when this move could happen.

They just reiterated their excitement to come to town and the Selectboard echoed that sentiment back.

“We really want locally owned, nice neighbors so I feel like we’re really lucky,” Chairwoman Carolyn Shores Ness said.

There was some discussion over site plans and whether the originally approved building concept will need to be re-approved.

It’s unclear at the moment, but Ness and member Henry “Kip” Komosa, who also sits on the Planning Board, said they just want to all be on the same page and move forward when they can.
