Drive with care

Lookout 23; It’s not “23 Skidoo.”

Those children taught by their parents to brush their teeth, clean their room, say “please” and “thank you.” Also, to do their homework, help their mother. Yes, those. The schools are closing for the summer. The children, young and teenagers, will be roaming our streets.

As responsible motorists, we should be aware that the youth are thinking about the latest movie, new girl/boy of interest, latest music, etc. The children are thinking about everything except cars while crossing the streets.

We get news all over the country about children that are hit by vehicles. We don’t want to be the one driving to tell parents the bad news.

Let’s all of us, you and I, be especially careful driving this summer. It may take a minute or more, but it’s worth it.
