Youth Basketball Pee Wee Division: This skills and drills program for children in kindergarten and first grade will teach the fundamentals of the game including shooting, passing, dribbling and rules. Volunteer coaches will lead players through skills and drills as well as scrimmages that will boost their skill development, coordination and confidence. Sessions (available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Discovery School at Four Corners) may be combined based on enrollment. Tuesdays (Code 30520A): Jan. 9 to March 5; Wednesdays (Code 30520B): Jan. 10 to March 6; and Thursdays (Code 30520C): Jan. 11 to March 7. The cost is $45 for residents and $55 for non-residents.

Holiday Gifts: Gift certificates and Greenfield Recreation Department sweatshirts are available for purchase at the department’s offices at 20 Sanderson St. Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount and can be used for all programs the Recreation Department offers as well as for season passes to the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area. Forest green hooded sweatshirts with the Recreation Department logo on the front chest are also available in adult sizes small through 2XL for $30.

Rec the Night: Cookie Decorating: Friday, Dec. 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Recreation Department’s Rec Room. Youth in grades five to seven are invited to test their cookie decorating skills and compete against their peers and staff. There will be a prize for the best decorated cookie. Code: 50590 L.
