DEERFIELD — Deerfield Police are investigating a report of an armed home invasion on River Road in the early morning hours of Sunday.

The victim told police that three suspects came into his trailer around midnight, demanded cash, and left. A State Police K-9 unit tracked footprints a short distance from the trailer and located a knife believed to be involved in the invasion.

Deerfield Police were assisted by State Police, Sunderland Police and Greenfield Police.

Police believe the suspects left in a vehicle and specifically targeted the victim; they do not believe it was a random act and do not think the public should be alarmed.
