The Keep ’Em Healthy Veterinary Clinic has hired a Franklin County native to join its practice in Troy, New Hampshire.
Dr. Alexandra Durant received her bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in Kentucky before attending Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts, where she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine. Her clinical year was spent at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Some of her interests include exotic animals, soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging.
“Dr. Durant is an excellent addition to our team of caring veterinary professionals,” Dr. Andrew Cooke, owner of the Keep ’Em Healthy Veterinary Clinic, said in a statement. “She absolutely understands our mission here at Keep ’Em Healthy to provide the highest standard of medical, dental and surgical services. We welcome Dr. Durant to the Monadnock region and look forward to introducing her to our wonderful clients and their pets.”
GREENFIELD — Stop & Shop’s stores across western Massachusetts will host a one-day career fair on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interested applicants can visit any of the supermarket’s western Massachusetts stores for an on-the-spot interview.
Interviews will be held to fill part-time roles and select full-time roles in the e-commerce, bakery, deli, grocery, seafood, pharmacy and produce departments. There are also openings on overnight crews, as well as for cashiers, porters, baggers and home shoppers.

SHELBURNE FALLS — Wanda Mooney, associate broker with Coldwell Banker Community Realtors, has been included in the 2022 Coldwell Banker International President’s Elite. Only the top 2% of all sales associates worldwide in the Coldwell Banker system qualify for this distinguished group.
Mooney also received the 2022 Platinum Award from Coldwell Banker Community Realtors.

ATHOL — The L.S. Starrett Co., a leading manufacturer of precision measuring tools and gages, metrology systems and more, recently appointed Kip Paterson as its new human resources director. Paterson succeeds longstanding HR Director Joel Shaughnessy, who retired.
“We are very pleased to have Kip join Starrett,” Emerson Leme, vice president of Starrett Industrial Products of North America, said in a statement. “He brings extensive experience in human resources to our organization, including the ability to implement best practices to help support our employees and the Starrett team.”
Paterson’s HR background spans roles at several companies, where he gained exposure to manufacturing and sales operations. His most recent positions were held at Norton Abrasives in Worcester; Bullard Abrasives in Lincoln, Rhode Island; and Paradigm Precision in Manchester, Connecticut. His core skills include workforce planning, organizational design, talent development, employee engagement and knowledge in HR information systems. Paterson holds a bachelor’s degree in public management from the University of Maine.
ATHOL — Financial Advisor David Mason of the financial services firm Edward Jones, located in the North Quabbin Commons Plaza, has received a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.
Becoming a CFP professional expands a financial advisor’s knowledge base in the following areas: financial management, tax-sensitive investment strategies, retirement savings, insurance planning, education planning and estate considerations.
In addition to the education and examination components of certification, Mason has also committed to abiding by the CFP board’s code of ethics and standards of conduct.
