Bulletin Board: Locals compete in 100th Mass Mixed Four-Ball tournament

A pack of locals traveled to Walpole Country Club on Monday to compete in the 100th Mass Mixed Four-Ball for the Stone Cup. 

The top local pairing was Will Conant and Lana O’Connor of the Country Club of Greenfield, as the duo shot a 3-over 74 to finish in a tie for 13th place.

Kelly Sullivan, representing Crumpin-Fox Club, and Patrick Sullivan tied for 18th, shooting a 4-over 71. Mike Johnson of the Country Club of Greenfield and Terry Boyce of Crumpin-Fox also competed Monday, with the pair finishing the day in 66th at 16-over. 

The winning score was 7-under, set by Doug Clapp of the Old Sandwich Golf Club and Pamela Kuong of the Charles River Country Club. 

CCG results

Roy Emerson, Brian Luippold and Dave Collette took first place with a score of 65 in an informal scramble at the Country Club of Greenfield on Sunday. 

Bill Conant, Nick Marscher, Joe Viadero and Jon Rutka finished in second with a score of 65.

Abigail Fortier knocked a double and a single to drive in two runs while Evy Lewis, Maggie Tsipenyuk and Olivia Peduzzi each had an RBI to lead the Northfield Cougars to a 12-8 win over Vernon on Monday.

Ryleigh Goodwin of the Northfield Cougars struck out four in two innings of action.

Brody Neipp and Liam Grant each had four hits to lead Parody Builders to a 12-6 win over Terrazza in a Rookie Division contest on Monday. 

Ethan Martin and Forrest Russell each had two hits for Terrazza. 

■ Also on Monday JJ Bones struck out seven, Luciano Stoffolano had two hits, Logan Batiste knocked a triple and Noah Knox recorded three hits in Lundgren Honda’s 13-5 win over Bobby C’s. 

Eli Skinder had a double, Elias Tripp struck out four and Anthony Bergstrom struck out five for Bobby C’s. 

Newt Guilbault

Chase Greene, Evan Wright, Tyreek Rivera, Tylar Girard and Grady Deery each had a hit while Carter Greene and Chase Greene combined for 12 strikeouts to lead TFAC to a 17-4 win over St. Stans on Monday . 

Austin Platek and Carter Flagg each had a hit in the loss. 

■ Also on Monday Jaxson Yates struck out five while Patrick Marble, John Martino and Liam Kerrivan had a hit to lift Pipione’s to a 7-5 win over the Elks. 

Malachi Doyle struck out 11 in the loss.
