SUNDERLAND — During the town’s 300th anniversary celebration parade Saturday, June 16, the Sunderland bridge and a few roads will be closed from 1 to about 3 p.m.

The Sunderland Police Department says vehicle traffic along the parade route will be restricted during those hours. Also any vehicles parked or left unattended along the parade route could be towed before the parade begins.

The parade will start from the Sunderland Elementary School entrance on Old Amherst Road, moving west to Route 47. The parade will turn north on Route 47 (South Main Street) and head across Route 116 (Bridge Street and Amherst Road) up to North Silver Lane on North Main Street.

Russell Street, Silver Lane (south) and Hadley Road will have limited to no travel on the northern ends, near Old Amherst Road, for parade vehicles and for staging of equipment.
