BERNARDSTON — Residents are urged to lock their homes and vehicles as police search for two males who reportedly fled on foot following an Interstate 91 pursuit that ended in the area of mile marker 52.4 on Thursday.

Sgt. John Richardson, with the Bernardston Police Department, said authorities are looking for two males, described as either Black or Hispanic, wearing dark clothing. A post on the department’s Facebook page states the pursuit concluded with a “tire deflation incident.”

Residents near Bald Mountain Road Extension and Brattleboro Road are urged to be particularly cautious. People are advised to call 911 if they see or hear anything suspicious.

Richardson also said his department received a report of a vehicle stolen from Church Street at 6 a.m. on Friday, though it could be unrelated to the suspect search.
