SUNDERLAND — The search is on for a woman who attempted an armed robbery at Sunderland Market just past midnight, early Sunday morning, according to police.

Sunderland Police Department is searching for this person, who was captured on the store’s camera.

The female came into the store, demanded money from the register, but when she was not able to get any money, she exited and went toward the Squire Village area, according to police.

Sunderland Police, Whately Police and Montague Police, along with its K-9 Artie, arrived to the market on Route 116.

“If they see something, say something,” Sunderland Police Department Chief Erik Demetropoulos reminded residents.

Demetropoulos also recalled a prior attempted robbery at the market in January.
